I became addicted to these after flying Jet Blue where they offer the lime version with cocktails or sparkling water vs. cutting up fruit. They are basically dehydrated fruit powder that give you that same taste as if you squeezed a lime wedge or two into your beverage. I was surprised to see that they came out with a grapefruit version!I buy Sprindrift flavored seltzer, which costs $5/8 pack. Thats about 60 cents per can. A 30 pack of these is $5, which works out to about 16 cents per pack. Usually one package works well ... so between that package and a larger pour of seltzer, I am saving some serious money as I used to drink 3 cans of Spindrift per day.The taste is very similar. The Spindrift tastes a little more natural and a little sweeter due to some juice being added. These packets are more on the tart side. I think they use more peel/rind and less juice. For those with acid reflux or who don't like sour ... you might not be pleased with these as there is almost no sweetness with these. It's all sour. They go into the water clear and do not change the color. If you are adding them to a small bottle of seltzer, they will fizz up! So, you want to make sure to drink a few sips before adding the packet, or you'll be in for a foamy mess. I love how portable these are, I can carry them in my pocket when traveling or on the go. I don't trust a lot of the limes they give you in restaurants as they sit out all day and are usually covered in fruit flies.Overall, these are perfect for travelers or keeping in your desk drawer. I have a bar in my office and when clients come in, I mix them a drink. The lime packets add a decent layer to a gin and tonic and the grapefruit packets work well with vodka or tequila with a splash of soda or orange juice.I wish they came in medium sized boxes. The other flavors come in boxes of 30, 50 or 100. Grapefruit is hard to find in packages of more than 30, making it the most expensive flavor ... but still a bargain.Where has this been all my life? How am I just discovering True Grapefruit now? It's a dream come true. It tastes and smells like a fresh grapefruit slice, with no unwanted sweetness. I don't know what wizardry they use to capture the exact essence of a grapefruit in powder form, but its magical. Dump a sachet into a tall glass of water, and you have the most refreshing drink on the planet. I almost don't want to tell anybody about this in case it starts to sell out. BRB, I need to stockpile a few cases of this for the apocalypse. It’s a good product! What it’s not: Sweetened. What it is: A hint of real grapefruit in your water. What it does: Makes water easier to drink without the artificial sweeteners I am allergic to. Like I said the grapefruit flavor isn’t sweet but makes water more interesting. I’m curious about the orange next but you know what, I can get an orange wedge, squeeze it in water and I’m certain it will taste just like that.I LOVE TRUE GRAPEFRUIT! I tried True Lemmon a few months ago and it didn't work for me. I have issues with Lemmon as it causes severe cramps in my stomach however, the True Grapefruit does not. I drink water all day long. I've been searching for something to add to my water that doesn't have a sweet taste and contain artificial sweetener. The True Grapefruit gives me exactly what I want. I've already ordered the box of 500 packets because I LOVE IT:) If you don't want to drink coffee, tea, soda or sweet tasting sugary powders throughout the day, please try this. You won't regret it.I recently had a diabetic cheat day with a grapefruit juice cocktail and realized how much I missed eating grapefruit. This hit the spot!! Pleasant tartness and true grapefruit taste. I only wish they had a non-packet option, just a container of it. It’s a little pricey for the quantity, but that won’t deter me because the flavor is so good. I do have to use 3-5 packets to a water bottle if I want the amount of flavor I’m looking for. Its extra tasty when I add a tiny bit of keto sweetener to it. I will definitely buy it again!10/17/22I purchased both the grapefruit and orange enhancers. I place two packets into a twenty ounce bottle. It brings the flavor just to the right 'light' amount. The flavor/taste bud activation is there for both flavors. There is no sweetener, no nothing other than a lightly flavored water. I will purchase again as this is just what I wanted... no sugar, no sodium, no vitamins... just a light flavoring for water. If you like really good tasting water without any sugar or additives this stuff is for you. Very simple dehydrated fruit that you can sprinkle in your water and make it fantastic. I have the lemon, lime and orange and absolutely love them. I am definitely drinking at least three times as much water as I had been before I found the crystals. This is definitely some great stuffTastes better with 2 packets.
