I haven't tried using these to fill the fresh water tank of my camper yet, but so far they seem really good. I figured out that a 3/4" MNPT fitting to a hose barb fits the threaded hole in the cap pretty nicely--a little snug, but I figure it shouldn't leak when I tip it on its side and run a short hose into my filler tube.I also want to address a few of the other reviews I've seen for these:One person mentioned that the spout doesn't point down when it's fully screwed in. The threads on the spout are long enough that you can back it off 1/2 or 3/4 of a turn to point down and it will be fine. Worked great when I tested that method. The weird shipping is true. I ordered these from Reliance Products (made in Winnipeg Canada if anyone is curious), one came in a Wal-Mart box, saying it was from Wal-Mart while the other three were delivered at the same time without any packaging, only little cryptic labels on the jugs. But they got here SUPER QUICK, the day after I ordered it. They were actually delivered on Monday before I got the email on Tuesday saying they had shipped and should arrive between Wednesday and Friday. It looks like they were shipped via FedEx. It seems like an odd way, but it seems to work well.Purchased for preparedness. They feel like they will hold up.Great product. Good value. I just didn't realize that 7 gal of water weighs 58 #. Doable but not desirable for family members. I had to rethink smaller volume containersI received the water jugs 6/8 few days earlier than expected. Seem quality holding my water good so far. I cleaned them 1st before fillingGot two (4) packs of these water canisters to store under the house, in case of a national emergency or power is lost and we need water for our survival food stores. We have a well which runs using the grid, so I will be using them for emergency water reserves. Expensive, but worth it. Will have to refill every 2 years, to ensure the water stays fresh.I havent filled these so i cant comment on leaks or long term use but Each of the 4 came with the reversible screw in spouts. I will put a couple drops of vegitable oil on the spouts to assure lubrication and ease of use. Im going off grid and these will help facilitate a guaranty of water for cooking, my pups andAND my morning coffee.Great product and exceptional customer service! It was shipped in different ways and in Walmart boxes, but it works and meets my needs.
