Well this is stupid, making me rate and review the lime and the lemon in the same entry....True Lime: 5 Stars: excellent flavor, better than supermarket juices and stale fruitTrue Lemon: 3 Stars: weak flavor but lots of useful acidTrue LimeI first heard of True Lime on a Southwest Airlines flight. I asked for some lime with my gin, and she apologized and gave me this. I was skeptical, but it was shockingly excellent. I asked if it was the new thing, and she said no, just left over from an international flight. I held on to the packet to try to find it myself. In my part of the continent, supermarket citrus wasn't picked yesterday, it was picked weeks ago and shipped, so by the time I buy it, some flavors and nutrients have already degraded. Then sometimes I end up not using them quickly enough and have to throw them away, wasted money. True Lime is so good that I don't have to deal with that any more.Storebought citrus juices to me rarely taste like the fresh-picked fresh-squeezed thing. I've read about all the chemistry they do on orange juice to try to reproduce the original flavor, and they do pretty well. Not sure if they do the same for other citrus, but if so, then it's not as successful. True Lime tastes much better to me than Real, Nellie & Joe's, and Rosie's.Of all the citrus, lime is the most complex, balanced, and interesting, and I enjoy lime-flavored things better than other citrus-flavored things. So I plan to keep True Lime on hand from now on.True LemonSince I loved True Lime, I thought I would also try True Lemon. The flavor seems to me accurate but too much weaker than fresh-squeezed fresh lemon to be a perfect substitute, but it's got a LOT of citric acid, much more than all the other True citrus, very useful for balancing recipes and compensating for deficits in other fruits and vegetables, so I plan to keep True Lemon on hand more as a citric acid source.I like to make lemon and/or lime water to drink in the morning (at the very least). I bought a juicer a while back and would buy lemons and limes and then juice a whole bunch of them (enough to make 1000ml of pure juice) and then pour that into one of those large (maybe 2 gallon) glass iced tea dispenser jugs and put it in my fridge so I can have that lemon or lemon-lime water in the mornings. Well, buying and juicing the lemons and limes is very time consuming so sometimes I run out of my homemade juice for days or a week. Plus, i wanted to try to start drinking even more lemon water or water in general throughout my day, at work especially, and I decided there had to be another option, so I googled and stumbled upon true lemon. I ordered a 100pack of lemon and 100pack of lime. I received the lemon immediately, but the lime was from a 3rd party seller that foolishly chose to use USPS, so needless to say, it's now 7 days past the day it SAYS it was delivered and i still haven't received it. I just went and cancelled that order and will look to buy it from another source. Anyways, I have been drinking the lemon one for over a week now, and i gotta say, going from drinking pure fresh squeezed lemon juice mixed with water to drinking these packets mixed with water, i can't tell the difference. Tastes exactly the same. I like the potency too. It says one packet is like one lemon wedge, but it seems a bit stronger to me. If i add 2 packets to about 16oz-24oz of water in my water bottle, that's plenty of flavor. If i add 3 or 4 packets to that same amount, it's pretty heavily lemony, and I'm ok with that as I have a high tolerance for sour. Either way, i really like this fresh lemon substitute. They even have shakers too (like salt and pepper shakers) which I might buy to use for cooking. I even think, if it's the exact same stuff in those shakers, i might just buy those instead of the packets for making my water. I don't know how "real" this true lemon is, but it has zero sugar and/or artificial sweeteners, which is a plus for me because I'm trying to reduce my daily sugar intake and increase my water intake. From my experience with true lemon so far, i highly recommend it.I love this product and have already purchased a second box of these convenient little lime packets. When you need a little true lime flavour and you don't have the actual limes in your posession, or they've gone bad, it's always great to have handy these little packets of true lime in a powder form. The lime powder in these packets are the next best thing, if not the same thing, or even better than the actual lime fruit, if you don't want to have to be squeezing a bunch of limes all the time. They're versatile: you can use them in any recipes that require lime flavour or juice, such as soups, salads & dressings, desserts and drinks like limeaid and many more other tasty lime concoctions and delights. As the powder comes from real limes, the flavour, imo, is just as excellent as that of true limes. So getting and using this product is a way to put the wonderful flavour of LIME in the LIMELIGHT.I highly recommend it.Really impressive stuff! I love fresh lime and lemon juice in my drinks. Whether it's plain water, soda, or Arctic Blue Gatorade (seriously give that one a try) I love it. These popped up one day, so I was intrigued. Thoroughly impressed. Despite it's appearance this is no lime salt. It tastes like a real, fresh lime. One packet seems to be one wedge worth of flavor. With that said, I have to give the product a 4 star rating. Not sure what happened but the box was opened and a lot of the packets were loose inside of the sealed, and undamaged Amazon packet. Doesn't look like a side effect of shipping. Looks like someone ripped off the perforated part, and dumped the loose packets, and the open box in the amazon package before shipping. Not sure if there are any packets missing, but frankly there's enough there where I don't feel conned or anything. I just feel it was prudent to say something about it.Last summer, I'd bought several of the 32-count boxes of these powdered lime packets and used them to enhance my water and various other drinks, but I wasn't able to find that version of this product this year.Fortunately, this package has *lots* more per box, and isn't much more than the smaller ones were last year, so I'll be able to use lots more this year! The significant advantage of packets of lime juice powder over concentrate (at least in my opinion) is that they're pre-measured, and you don't have to refrigerate them. The only slight disadvantage is that you can't squash the packets, or they'll be hard to pour out later.I first tried this product aboard an airline trip we took to the Dom. Rep. in 2018. We sat in the premium section and with that we got free cocktails and when they asked if we wanted lime we of course said yes as my wife had her usual Gin & tonic and I had Vodka with sprite. Well after that trip we hurried to the grocery store to buy the True Lime and our store has it. Sometimes however they do run out and don't get in for a while hence that's why I ordered on Amazon. I love the fact that if you need anything with lime that you can use this without worry and never have to worry about limes spoiling in the fridge, or having to have on hand for a party. The packets are great for guests and we have a small shaker as well. Goes great with drinks. As well as foods as other reviewers have posted. You will not be disappointed.I never knew this existed until I was looking for some lime juice. The idea for this is great. I get the perfect amount everytime because each packet is individually sealed. When mixed with water, I get the taste and texture of real lime juice.I use this for making drinks, smoothies and sometimes as flavour for some dishes.I recommend this to anyone who needs lime juice but not often(nobody wants to keep rotting limes around) . I would absolutely buy this again. It's hard to get any flavor other than lemon in my local stores so I'm very happy that Amazon carries it. These little packets are packed with flavor and I love that they don't have any sweeteners. They will leave a slight film residue in your glass but that's from the oils in the fruit rind they use to make the powderThis is the best new find for me! I love mixing drinks and fresh lime is always a go-to. I never thought something other than fresh lime would do...Well, I was wrong!I gave it a chance and ordered this amazing product, more for convenience and not having to always slice limes. These little packets are amazing! I cannot believe how great they taste. I can honestly say it is like squeezing a fresh lime into my drink... no slicing... no sticky mess... and no having to worry about always having fresh limes on hand.I don’t normally write reviews but I love this product and wanted to share my experience.
